Frequently Asked Questions

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, also known as LDS or Mormon. I believe that I am a member of the church as organized and led directly by Jesus Christ and his prophets and apostles, both in former times as well as in this age.
I served a two year mission for my church in Lousiana, from 1989 to 1991, where I spent my time trying to find and teach those who were seeking for answers, truth, and purpose in life.
If you would like to know more about my church, I suggest visiting the official web site at www.mormon.org
There is a page on that site dedicated to explaining all about the Book of Mormon. It's good information for those who are honestly interested. In short, I'll just tell you that the Book of Mormon is a collection of writings of ancient prophets, just like the Bible. It simply deals with another civilization that the inhabitants of the ancient Eastern hemisphere were not aware of; namely, the people on the ancient American continent. It's good; you should read it with an open heart.
I would also be glad to answer any serious inquiries by those who are honestly seeking for truth. If you feel like writing to tell me that I'm wrong, let me share a thought with you: Those who spend their time trying to tear down things they believe to be false rather than seeking for and teaching truth lead empty, unfulfilled lives.
Are these really questions people frequently asked, or questions I frequently hoped they would ask? Maybe both.
